VA Aid and Attendance Program
Our country provides veterans with the VA pension benefit as a way to thank them for their service. As an Aid and Attendance Program provider, Affinity Home Care is proud to provide this type of service.
Our team helps veterans access their pension benefits for assistance with living at home, disability, mobility challenges, and other in-home care needs. As a result, veterans can keep their independence and live in their own homes as long as they are able.
Senior Companion Care
Affinity Home Care focuses on the interactions and day-to-day activities that support the well-being of our clients and can be paired with other services.
Hospice Support
Affinity Home Care works in close collaboration with Hospice providers to bridge the gap.. In other words, what they don't do,we will do. A caregiver can come every day for a couple of hours, spend the night, and can be available 24/7 if required.
Post Surgery Care
The first twenty-four hours of surgery are the most critical and challenging. Having an Affinity Home Care caregiver gives you peace of mind in knowing that all of your needs are met. They will help you comply with the orders of your healthcare professional and will focus on your well-being and safety. You should have a pleasant recovery and we will make it possible.
24 Hour In-Home Care
Providing around-the-clock in-home care is one of our most comprehensive services. It is ideal to have a live-in caregiver if you or your loved one need overnight care, as well as daily assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL). A 24-hour care plan is also an option if you need assistance with ADLs and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
It is essential to perform all of the ADLs and IADLs on a daily basis to live a fulfilling life. An independent life requires the performance of activities of daily living (ADLs), which are more basic tasks. The instrumental activities of daily living, or IADLs, are more complex but still essential activities.
ADLs are the everyday tasks an individual performs. They include:
-
Personal Hygiene
-
Continence Management
-
Dressing
-
Feeding
-
Mobility
The following is a list of common IADLs. If you are having trouble with any of these activities, it may be time to seek help.
-
Meal Preparation
-
Socialization
-
Household Chores
-
Managing Medication
-
Transportation, errands, and shopping.
